ANALYSIS
I want to use this opportunity to send my shoutout to STIDMAN for being such a wonderful guy. I've never reviewed any video this funny. Actually, this video is pretty hard to define,but I'll call it a freestyle video with comedy, dance and laughter mixed inside. Shey you understand?
It tells a story ...or does it tell a story? Well it describes everyone as "yeye", but come to think of it, the word "yeye" has several meanings, as in, crazy, stupid, nonchalant. Some girls even call their boyfriends "yeye" as nickname, picture this, "Yeye, when I flash you, you call me back, you hear?, or "Yeye, I need some money for my recharge cards" funny right?
Practically, everyone just yeye inside the song, even me self, as I de review this song, e be like say I don follow yeye small small oh, lol.
This video was entirely created in a studio, it came with loads of graphic effects but the simple lighting, the colors were very pronounced and the numerous transition effects could not go un-noticed. One thing I loved was the sync in this song. When he talks about popping Rosey and there is a guy with a bottle, then he talks about pinging, a girl is there with a blackberry...the sync was great.
EXTRAS/CAMEO
There were lots of cameos from top shots in the Nigerian music industry and of course tons of pretty girls to go round all the pretty boys.
STYLE
Stidman and his crew were quite cool in this video. Their street style, colorful T-shirts and pants with sneakers really matched the theme of the video. I mean, e no for make sense to wear tie come de sing "Yeye Song" na? Abi no be so ?
Stidman didn't leave leave his Rayban wayfarer sunglasses at home, he even went the extra mile to customize his t-shirt for this video, but I didn't really get the bling he was wearing, abi Stidman do follow join G.O.O.D music? Anyhow sha, no body wan carry last sha. Kudos to Mr. Stidman.
DOWNSIDE
How this guy go call everybody yeye since morning? Cos this song has been on reply ever since when I woke up.
Anyways, The only thing I didn't like about this video was the blue background in the studio, from the beginning to the end, the video was just blue, but you now, "one mans meat is another mans poison". Maybe blue is Stidman's favorite color.
